Mom: "You know, guys, I've been thinking about my mood lately and how impatient I've been, and I think I need to do a better job taking care of myself." Kids: "Mm-hmm. Can I have a snack?"

Mom: "Sure. But I really think it'll help! I think if I look out for my own..." Kids: "Can I have snack?"

Mom: "...well-being.... Sure. But what I'm saying is, I think I just need some time to..." Kids: "Can I have a snack?"

Mom: "Yes. But hold on. I'm trying to talk to you about..."

Kids: "Where's my snack?"

Mom: "You guys. I'm trying to apologize for being impatient, but this is getting..." Kids: "I want a snack." Mom: *sigh* Kids: "I'M HUNGRY!!!"

Mom: "I know. I said I would get you a snack. Can I just finish my thought and then I'll..."

Kids: "Can I have a snack?"


Kids: "What?"
