In this workshop, we will discuss the Hows and Whys of writing while parenting. How do we get the writing done? And why is the hard work of getting the writing done worthwhile in the midst of our busy lives?
This is truly an opportunity to discuss the nitty gritty details of how to write when you have little tiny people hanging from your every limb, as well as how to prioritize your writing life, even in the midst of all the other stuff you have to do. You don't have to be an experienced writer to sign up, and you don't have to be able to answer the above questions. If you're a parent and you want to write (even if you don't know how, when, or where you will), we'd love to have you with us.
We promise you'll walk away with some clarity and strategies and a reminder that there are other crazy people out there—like us!—who manage to write AND parent. This can be done. All it takes is a little bit of planning and a little bit of purpose. Let's figure it out together.
The workshop will take place on Sunday, October 2nd, from 11-1pm at blooming kids* in Tacoma. To register, call blooming kids at 253-252-7027 or come by the shop. The cost is $15 per participant and prepayment is kindly requested.
